Every Christian has certain scriptures they hold dear and quote to help them in their life of faith. These scriptures have a power to them that give Christians strength in their journeys. This is a sample of some “power scriptures” to help you begin your study of the Bible, if you’ve never studied it before. They are taken from the Old Testament book of Psalms and the New Testament.
I included amplifications in brackets to help unpack the meanings of a few of these scriptures. The order they appear in is the order they appear in the Bible. This will help you familiarize yourself with the order of the Bible’s 66 books. This is not intended to be a comprehensive study of the Bible. It is meant to give you a sample of scriptures to begin your study of the Bible with. I hope you are blessed by them.
